With Spring on the horizon, the Lucent Bio team has been getting ready for the next round of field trials.

While last year was about proving that our technology works across the globe, 2026 is about intentionality. We aren't just putting fertilizer in the ground; we are testing the soil specific questions to ensure our products meet the exact needs of tomorrow’s agricultural landscape.

Design with Intent: A Glimpse into the 2026 Program

This year, we are focusing on where the industry is headed—not just where it is today. With trials planned across Canada and Brazil, we continue our global commitment towards sustainable agriculture.

Feature Products:

Agreos, our biodegradable, microplastic-free, controlled release fertilizer coating. Agreos is an advance in climate smart agriculture, this plant based fertilizer coating controls precise nutrient release , avoiding leaching, microplastic pollution and nitrous oxide emissions. In 2026, Agreos takes center stage, testing our ability to increase crop yield and soil health of corn and soybean cropping systems across Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Soileos Zinc, Lucent Bio’s flagship micronutrient product, will be tested in Brazil. Soileos Zinc is known to not only deliver slow-release, seed safe nutrition to crops, but also enable climate positive wheat production in western Canadian crop systems. In Brazil, this means transforming wheat production and creating opportunities for carbon sequestration.

Trial Themes for 2026

Our Trials are designed to bridge the gap between "innovation" and "application." This year, we are moving beyond yield checks and diving into:

• Regional Synergy in Saskatchewan: By partnering with 5 branches of Agri-ARM, we are gathering hyper-local data on how our Soileos Boron + Zinc technology performs across the diverse soil zones of the prairies.
• The Phosphorus Challenge: In partnership with Natural products Canada, we are evaluating the ability of Agreos to optimize phosphorus use efficientcy—a critical factor for both grower ROI and environmental stewardship.
• LATAM Resilience: Our ongoing work in Brazil with local experts focuses on the unique demands of tropical soils, ensuring Soileos Zinc delivers performance in one of the world's most productive soybean and corn hubs.
• Strategic Market Penetration: Our large-scale demo trials aren't random; they are a systematic response to soil micronutrient deficiencies. We are targeting specific soil profiles to prove that our solutions work where they are needed most.
