**How Climate-Smart Crop Nutrition Supports Global Food Security**

Lucent Bio’s 2025 field trials are designed to demonstrate how performance, sustainability, and ROI can align in real-world agriculture.

As demand for food and fertilizer intensifies, three crops rise to the top of global importance: canola, wheat and corn. These staples drive food systems, support international markets, and require strategic nutrient management to thrive in changing climates.

Canola, wheat and corn are fundamental to global food security.

- **Canola** is a leading source of vegetable oil, plant-based protein biodiesel fuelstock, supporting both food systems and renewable energy markets

Lucent Bio is putting their innovations to the test, evaluating how micronutrients like boron, copper, and zinc impact yield response, and soil compatibility across multiple geographies and soil profiles.

Traditional fertilizers struggle to deliver consistent value across real-world conditions. Key challenges include:

- **Poor availability:** Micronutrients bind quickly in the soil, making them inaccessible to crops

- **Runoff and leaching: S**oluble forms may wash away before uptake, creating environmental risks
- **Lack of precision:** Many products ignore crop-specific needs and regional variability

**Soileos Takes a Different Approach**

Our 2025 Trials track performance across over 30 sites worldwide, measuring:
